Important note: An Administrative Accompanying Document (AAD) is now known as an electronic administrative document (eAD).
If another W1 return for the same warehouse is been modified by another user then the eAD page will be ‘locked’. This is for your benefit to ensure that eAD data is always showing the current view. The page will remain locked until the original user closes the return. If this happens, HM Revenue and Customs advises you to complete the rest of the return and save the data. You will then have to wait until the eAD page becomes unlocked before you submit your declaration.
If this means that your return will be late please contact the Online Services Helpdesk on 0300 200 3701 who will notify the National Warehouse Return Centre in Glasgow that you are waiting to submit your return. If the problem happens at the weekend you will not be penalised for late submission.
