Service issues - Notification of Vehicle Arrivals (NOVA)

 

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) will describe here any current important issues that customers using this online service may come across. They will let you know what to do if you are affected. System Error (Using spreadsheets for bulk notifications)

To avoid getting a system error you should,

download the latest version of the spreadsheet, each time you need to make a bulk notification.

use Microsoft Office 2010 or LibraOffice software to open the spreadsheet (If your version of MS Office is not the 2010 edition you will need to use LibraOffice)

save the spreadsheet with the file extension .ods do not convert it to any other file types (such as .xls or .xlxs)

enter the information into the boxes provided without any leading spaces, they should line up to the left hand side. If in any doubt, remove the suspect entry and type it in.

System Error - (up to 100 Notifications)

If you are not using a spreadsheet, your notification is saved and checked for errors when you select next to move through each page of our service. If you use the back button on your browser or navigate away from a page without saving your entries a system error can occur. You have the option to delete your notification and start a new one. If you continue to receive a system error, please contact the Online Service helpdesk.
