Issues

Previously verified subcontractors appearing on new verification requests

Customers using the HM Revenue & Customs online service to send verification requests may see some subcontractors that have already been verified appearing on the list of subcontractors to be verified. Our IT partners are investigating this and we will update this message when we have more information.

HM Revenue & Customs recommend that these subcontractors are de-selected before sending the verification request and apologise for any inconvenience this issue causes.

Online verification requests – Responses not received within 24 hours of submission

The majority of responses to online verification requests are returned straight away. However there are times when responses can take longer to be returned, particularly during the peak periods. Because of this we ask that you allow up to 24 hours for the response to be received.

However we are aware of an intermittent problem that means it may take longer than this to ‘View the results of your last verification request’ on the CIS Online home page. This will tell you if there is an outstanding response.
