If you receive this message when entering a period with no payments to employees from 6 February 2015, please ensure you are using the latest version of the tools, 14.2.14330.88. The version number displays in the bottom-left corner of the tool.
You will need to download and install the software again from our website at https://www.gov.uk/basic-paye-tools to get this version. Do not attempt to update by selecting 'check now for updates' in the Basic PAYE Tools settings and do not uninstall your current version or you may lose your payroll data.
