HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) will describe here any current important issues that customers using this online service may come across. They will let you know what to do if you are affected. HMRC are sorry for any inconvenience these may cause. If you need help with anything not listed here, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions or contact the Online Services Helpdesk.
For issues that may affect customers using the Basic PAYE Tools, please see our Basic PAYE Tools Service issues.
For issues that may affect customers using the Online End of Year Expenses and Benefits Service, please see our Online End of Year Expenses and Benefits issues.
Some customers are having problems connecting to the Government Gateway when making their RTI submissions. Any customers that are affected which may result in the RTI submission being made late should enter Reason Code G in the Late reporting reason’ field within the FPS.
You can use our online PAYE Liabilities & Payments Viewer to confirm the real time submissions that we have received, and to see both what you owe and what you have paid.
But please be aware that the Viewer might not show the most up-to-date position for:
What you owe to HMRC: please note that the Viewer's 'Amount due in period' figure is updated after the 6th and 19th of each month, based on all submissions received to those dates. So any submissions made between these dates will not be reflected until the next update.
What you have paid to HMRC: please note that there is a slight delay in the payment information reaching the Viewer. So any very recent payments you have made may not be shown.
We are aware that some customers using Adobe X (version 10) are unable to view or print some PDF forms generated by our online service as they are met with a blank page or an error message when trying to do so.
Possible solutions to this problem can be found by following View, print or save forms, returns or statements - help
If these do not resolve the issue, please delete Adobe X from your system, then install Adobe version 9.4. This can be done by visiting the Adobe website.
If this does not resolve the problem please contact the Online Services Helpdesk.
